URGENT REQUEST re passport troubles.

Urgent request if you live in Edinburgh, and you're a professional person who has known me for two years or more:

I need some passport photos signed tomorrow morning. If I turn up at your workplace, can you sign them for me? Apparently I'm supposed to be going to Geneva on either Friday or Monday, but with no passport it could be tricky. I have an appointment with Glasgow passport office for 1430, but they need me to bring the photos with them.

I still haven't told the story of how I got home on Sunday after discovering that morning that I'd lost my passport the night before, I know.

I don't know if I count as 'professional' but I'm happy to sign you - I'll be at work on COmmercial Quey, mail me for the address if you're nearby.

One of the advantages of the end of the Cold War - we drove across Germany and back despite leaving passports by the side of the road in the Netherlands. No-one cared, not even British immigration who were the only people to even ask.

Mind you, we're white with "middle class British" accents.

or I'm at Crewe Toll

I can sign your forms if you want, though I normally ask Charlie Stross, who's more professional than me. I'm at Crewe Toll from about 7am.

Sure!

My work (which I'm avoiding to name to foil searches) is at 2 AndersonFoo Place, off BonningtonFoo road, 4724792. I'll be there at 10, please disturb me if I'm in a meeting. You may be lucky and get Andrew too, though I don't speak for him.

I'm around and I can sign it. I've known Paul for, um, eight years now? And I've got the piece of sheepskin that says I'm a genuine professional person, allowed to sign passport photographs and walk on water and suchlike.
