Aargh! Nielsen turns to the Dark Side for money.

The correct "usability improvement" for Flash is a stake through the fucking heart. Flash is suitable for online games, not for content.

Still, we'll all be using SVG soon... or next year... or the next...
Death to Flash!!
Mind you, this amused me: p-p-p-pick off a penguin (http://www.bossmonster.com/games/penguin.html)

Usability: Case in point
(and if you can't see it, don't bother. Uses Flash MX)

For example, one of the VW sites works (on the machine I'm currently using), another one doesn't. Which is why I haven't bothered to install Flash on my Mac.
The only thing worse than having to use a web site with Flash is having to maintain one. The generator software builds a load of not-really-human-editable files with fragile code and hard-coded paths, on the assumption that you'll never want to move anything or host on anything other than Apache or IIS.

Just what I needed to read before my multimedia exam from hell. the lecturer likes flash - a lot :-( Ugh ugh and more ugh.....
But then such gems as large amount of narrative should be done in audio not text are commonplace..... ARGH I hate audio on websites and interactive CD crap.....
Oh well off i go to my exam see if I can get a few stabs in about large amounts of streaming audio, auditory memory (i.e it sucks) and stuff..... Shame i can't say Nielson doesn't like flash anymore ;-(.
C'est la vie.... I'll continue to avoid flash, having tried to use the bugger for my multimedia I'm even more convinced of its evilness.
