That Taliban story, redux
It seems there may be something to the story about "humanitarian aid". Jesse Berney, a fierce critic of the Bush regime who runs the Wage Slave Journal, http://www.wage-slave.org/ including the George W Bush Scorecard of Evil, http://www.wage-slave.org/scorecard.html has written an article debunking claims that this is a special evil of the Drug War or the Bush Regime. I'm not 100% convinced - partly because I find it easy to believe that the last administration were just as evil as this one when it comes to supporting repressive regimes and doing breathtakingly immoral things in the name of the War on Some Drugs - but it's worth sharing.
