I can be texted...
I've got myself a paid account, since LJ is a good thing and since I might need the invitation codes. One benefit that comes with it is a texting system - people on my friends list can text my mobile. Give it a try. I'll update this message to say "stop it" once I'm overwhelmed :-)
Best texts go into my next LJ. The suffix "LOVE MUM X" is not mandatory.
Update: I've disabled this feature, because the messages arrive with no information about who sent them! But I got the messages

before switching it off, so something's working.
